Yahrzeit in a Hotel?

I’m not a religious person, but my dad obm was raised Orthodox in Borough Park and raised my siblings and me conservative. His yahrzeit is coming this weekend and I’ll be out of town on business. I realize it’s probably against hotel policy to light candles, but is it okay by Jewish law? Every source I check lists primarily only the home or the synagogue. I was wondering if there are rules against doing it in a place that has nothing to do with the deceased.
