I swear I’ve read somewhere that Yekke Jews from Germany would wrap their tefillin around their forearms 3 times. Is that true or am I misremembering that? Does anyone know if there is a minhag that doesn’t use lucky #7? I know there is halakha about the finger loops, but I don’t think there’s specific laws on forearm loops?
