Why do products from Kosher brands taste so awful?

There a bunch of national (in the US at least) food brands that appear to exclusively make Kosher products like Gefen or Manischewitz. I’m not referring to some food brand that has a product that is also Kosher. Why are these national Kosher brand’s products so bland and honestly bad? For example, if I compare a Kosher-brands marinara sauce to a national non-kosher brand the Kosher brand has neither taste due to lack of seasoning nor tomato flavor. Can’t these Kosher companies make a half decent product? I’m all for eating Kosher but these guys just give Kosher products a bad rap.
