What is the general “rule” or overall belief in Judaism when it comes to suicide? (Please read more in the text post)

First off, I’m not going to commit suicide. Even if you look at my recent post history it’ll be extremely concerning, I promise I’m safe. I’m very, very depressed right now – I’ll admit that. But I’m not going to commit suicide. I have a therapy appointment Thursday and will be talking about how I am doing and I will be honest with my therapist.

I am wondering about Judaism’s thoughts on suicide because I just don’t know really anything about how the religion as a whole has adapted throughout modern years for mental illnesses. And for the record, I am looking more towards the views of reformed Judaism.
