Lately I’ve been reading into what’s called Atbash, where the first letter of the alef-bet (aleph) is replaced by the last letter (tav), the second letter (bet) by the second-to-last letter (shin), ect. I thought this was a really interesting. When I found out about this I wanted to kind of see what it was about, so I made a chart (basically the alef-bet and it’s reversed self next to it) and started to run some words through it. יוֹם revealed itself as מפי. it reminded me of the first perek in bereshis.
What do you guys think of Atbash, and have you read anything about it?
