Has anyone else seen the play Giant, about Roald Dahl and his – still disturbingly common – claim that he was anti-zionist not anti-Semitic, while insulting Jews and saying how Hitler must have had a point (all factual quotes).
I recognised the play as excellently acted but hated every second of it – I felt like I needed a shower after I’d seen it to wash off the utter discomfort I felt throughout.
It’s a west end smash and I wondered whether anyone else had seen it and your thoughts. Many of my friends are going and I have warned them so they know what they’re letting themselves in for.
