 | I am from Sofia and our synagogue is also the synagogue which I think has the most beautiful interior. It sounds like I am biased, but I really do find it a lot more mystical and magical than all the other interiors I have seen. Interior of the Sofia Synagogue (that chandelier is 2 tonnes!) The Szeged Synagogue (in Hungary) comes at a not-so-close but still close second. I just find it’s colours not so magical and vibrant as the Sofia Synagogue and its architecture is over the top imo (and it doesn’t have those super mystical looking star domes.
