Suggestions?

So I’ve recently decided I want to look into converting to Judaism. Now all of the should and shouldn’ts aside I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good books that would help me understand Judaism on a more personal level.

I know the best way to get involved is to talk to a local Rabbi and am in the process of getting involved with a synagogue. But Id like to get your opinions on books. Because to me learning is something special and personal.
