Studying Tanakh as a former Catholic and was curious why there are Levite names in Luke’s “Davidic” genealogy of Jesus. Levi, Melchi (Malachi?), probably more. Is this an actual blunder, or could these names be found throughout the different tribes, Judah being the relevant one here. Thanks.
