Steps to take to join Chabad

For some background I (31m) grew up in a Jewish house, went to a Jewish school and was pretty religious up until high school when I moved. I have since become less religious, however I have been wanting to get back in touch with my roots and want to join chabad. What steps do I need to take in order to join and be accepted within the chabad community? I have been keeping kosher the last few years but besides that neglecting going to shul regularly but want to change that. Sorry if this seems like a silly question to pose.
