Singlehood in the Jewish community

The older I get, given my unique challenges (trans woman, poor) in life, the more I just want to stay single. I have had four ex-boyfriends in my life, two years having been my longest relationship.

I find the general dating scene kind of difficult to navigate.

And at 30, I feel like I have had enough experience, and the older I get, the less shtick I have in the dating pool, lol. Plus, everyone is trying to find their bashert… and then there’s me. 😆 I just want to be like Shimon ben Azzai and get my shit together, and spend my earth time studying Torah. Can Torah study be my bashert?

Anyone else feel led to a more long-term singlehood?
