Silly question about pest control (related, I promise)

I was raised Jewish but haven’t practiced in my adult life, however now I am exploring my Jewish roots again.

We have a rat problem right now. We tried live traps at first, with no success, so now we use snap traps.

I’m an animal lover and I have had a very hard time dealing with it. I know they are considered pests but I struggle to see them as “just vermin” and I honestly don’t want to.

Is there a blessing I can say for an animal I have to kill in this situation? Something to express that I hope they had a comfortable life of abundance and that I hope their death is painless… maybe say I’m sorry. I don’t know, whatever would be appropriate for a Jew to say.

Or if there’s not, can someone help me find the right words in Hebrew?

Thank you.
