Hi y’all, I’m so sorry to post something so negative during such a joyous time, but I need to get this out. It is exhausting and scary to see the comment sections of any post made by a Jewish person. The accusations of “playing the victim card”, use of old tropes, and threats of violence r extremely disturbing, but what I find even more disturbing is the lack of pushback they get. Blatant antisemitism has become so permissible that it’s just the norm now. I mean, it doesn’t matter what the post is, if there is a Jewish person, the comment section will be filled with the most vile, ignorant shit and these comments get hundreds of likes. I have to think that this is just bc ppl r still trying to be edgy online and most ppl aren’t like this in real life, but that’s difficult to believe that when there r so many real life attacks on real ppl and places. What will it take for ppl to see us as human beings?
