Should I do my own candles before or after Shabbat service?

Hey y’all,

I recently found a temple I feel might be a good fit for me. However, I usually make Shabbat at home and was wondering if I should do my own candles/wine/hamotzi before or after Shabbat service, which is always 7:30 at this congregation. I’m sure either way is probably fine, but I wanted some opinions from some folks with more experience than I.
