There was a brief thread on this 2 months ago, but now that some time has passed and maybe more people have had the chance to actually study with Schottenstein there might be some more perspectives. For my purposes, I grew up religious but didn’t go to yeshiva high school or gap year in Israel and I’m trying to get back into studying. The Schottenstein seems to be much more fulsome in terms of providing additional commentaries and more context for Rashi, but the Sapirstein being more bare bones may be better for my time constraints (was planning ~45 mins – 1 hour per day, trying to get through the parasha each week). But welcome any and all discussion on these two lovely editions!
