I’ve been looking in the Shulchan Arukh and other places for so long, and I can’t seem to find the exact quote in Halachah or in the Talmud about prioritizing building a Mikvah over a Synagogue in a Jewish community or even selling a Torah scroll or synagogue to build a Mikvah. I’m almost certain it exists because many rabbis refer to it. Please help me asap, I am writing a paper on it currently.
