Hey fam 👋 My father was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. He hasn’t told me what stage, only that his risk is “intermediate” (risk of metastasis maybe? he hasn’t clarified) and may require a prostatectomy, so it’s fairly serious. He’s 70, and I realize prostate cancer isn’t unusual in men of his age. I keep telling myself and everyone else that I’m not worried, he’s otherwise healthy, they caught it early etc., but…that’s my dad. I love him more than anyone else in the world, especially since I’m estranged from my mother. I’m suddenly faced with his mortality and I’m scared.
Anyway, I’m sorry for the ramble. If you could, please daven for my father, Shmuel ben Esther.
