Looking to connect with Judaism

Hello, everyone.

My entire paternal family is Jewish, except for me and my sister. Although I know many things about Jewish culture and religion, I grew up understanding that I wasn’t Jewish.

In recent years, trying to connect with g-d, I’ve begun to study Judaism on my own (podcasts, books, torah…)

i’m from brazil, and a few years ago i moved to kingston in canada. I have no Jewish family or friends here. I’ve only been to a synagogue a few times in Brazil.

I’m not sure how it works, but I’d like to start attending a synagogue. Studying Judaism and its practices is making sense to me. Is it possible to attend, study and even participate in a Jewish community without being a jew? How receptive would an Orthodox/Conservative synagogue be?

Thank you!
