Let’s talk maaser

What are the different (orthodox) opinions on how to do maaser nowadays?

Is it simply a straight 10% from income? What counts for where you can give the maaser to? In a single income household, can the rest of the family be considered for it?

I’ve heard that maybe school fees might count also?
