Over the generations many scholars have tried to figure out just what Korach was looking for when rebelling against Moses. Rabbi Soloveitchik once suggested that he was advocating spirituality “as you feel it”, as opposed to to the strict rules and hierarchies of Torah Judaism. To rebut Korach, and especially his modern avatars, the Rav developed a theory of “Monistic Worship”, which I explain in this brief video:
