What laws of kashrut existed in the middle ages (Europe mainly, but Arab kingdoms of you have the info)?
I’m an archaeologist and we have evidence of keeping kashrut from animal bones and vessels, but I’m wondering about those that we can’t see (like checking vegetables or eggs) that might be in the Talmud or later writings/recorded as minhag. At what point did those enter tradition? Sources would be great!
