Jewish women in STEM: Hedwig Kohn

I’m a Jewish woman in STEM (I only know of one other at my university) and was excited to see today’s Google doodle dedicated to Hedwig Kohn. She was one of three women from Germany to obtain teaching credentials in physics before WWII. She was forced to leave in 1940. She continued to teach and perform research until her death in 1964. She did a lot of work on intensity of light and black body physics, which is similar to what I’m doing!
