Jewish approach to dealing with difficult emotions?

I’m wondering what the Jewish tradition has to offer in helping people deal with difficult emotions such as sadness, despair, anxiety, worry, and chronic pain? Of course one can turn to science and therapy for help with these, but I’m wondering what the Jewish tradition offers for help as well?
