Is it weird or bad that I don’t say the prayers when I light Shabbat candles?

I didn’t grow up very observant. other than holidays we never did Shabbat. I’m also pretty shy and I don’t like being performative or reciting things in front of people. But I’m starting to do little things to make a more Jewish home, and I’m trying to keep it simple. I really like lighting the candles on Shabbat. It’s really easy and quick, but meaningful. But I wonder if that’s kind of lame or not enough? I think I’d feel awkward saying the prayer out loud.
