Hey y’all, I was in my house today and saw, to put it lightly, an absolutely gargantuan unit of a spider. I did the right thing, found a bowl (because this thing was HUGE), and put it outside in nature.
While I was doing this, I started thinking about if it is permissible to kill a spider or other nuisance bug in your house or if this is considered cruelty to animals or maybe something else. I was really interested in if there is any halacha on this topic?? I figured that it would not be permissible under the guideline about being kind to Hashem’s creatures, great and small.
Anyways, I love spiders and think they’re super cool so I would never kill one regardless but was just curious about any halacha in regards to this.
