Is it halachically acceptable to make a personal siddur?

I love old books, and everything you would associate in the same scenery; candlelight, dusty shelves, padded armchairs etc. I also like to design (and sometimes make) cool and unique stuff.

This led me to think about making a personal siddur. My thinking is this; I take the content in my current Chabad siddur. Cross-reference with other siddurs content. Type it up. Add or shorten annotation and notes, format as I go. I’m already done with the first segment of Shacharit, to just see how it looks, but I felt I should ask this before I get too far in to it.

Is it acceptable as long as the prayers are written correctly? Are there more criteria? Is this just plain and simply forbidden?
