I was hiding being Jewish most of my life. In the last few years I got open about it, even started wearing a megen David necklace. People mostly don’t care (maybe don’t even notice), even though one classmate did tell me that I’m now “white enough” to be his friend and a guy at the dormitory was trying to flirt with me by saying antisemitic Jokes. Then my boss at the job I talked about in my previous post here… (Little update, I stayed working there, I barely meet my boss there and I love the job).
And then the whole online world. I use some language exchange apps where I practise Hebrew and Spanish, but I always get messages from random people having a problem with me. And when I report them, either nothing happens or it’s me getting punished if the mods themselves are antisemitic.
I’m so tired of this all. How do you manage resisting it?
