I have a Christian friend I’ve known my whole life and I tried to do a Jewish prayer with him last Friday for Shabbat because I can’t light candles in my dorm and it resulted in him thinking a lot of stereotypes about Jews with me. I was surprised because I’ve known him my whole life and thought he would be more understanding. Should I just lie and say I’m Christian to him, I was adopted by a Christian aunt and uncle in high school and did Christian things or say I’m not affiliated with religions?
If you are a Jew in the US how do you convey your religion to Gentiles

- Hello all, I need some help identifying a very interesting piece of artwork found at my fiancé’s work. Being a Christian, I am familiar with Uriel, but not so much the other names which I think come from Hebrew as well. Any idea as to why the names are significant?
