Berachot 8a states that someone who lives in a city with a shul but does not attend is an evil neighbour – but what if the shul is beyond 2000 cubits / 1/2 mile (taking into account the greater than 70 cubits / 112ft after the last house that forms the Halachic city limit)?
Is it better to break Shabbos and walk the a couple of miles, or daven alone at home on Shabbos? I was also thinking of dedicated a place I have for a regular minyan, for those who are also in the city centre and are out of reach of both shuls.
