Has politics affected your family?

Not asking people to debate politics here, so hope this doesn’t violate the rules. I’m a (Jewish) journalist based in Canada. I’ve written a few pieces recently about how the Jewish vote has changed here, with the formerly staunchly Liberal Jewish community swinging more towards the Conservative party.

Like the U.S., there’s been a fair bit of polarization here. So I’m writing a piece about how politics has affected Jewish families in the U.S. and Canada. Are seders more awkward? Are any topics off limits? Do you have to watch your words around a sibling/parent/cousin/etc so things don’t get heated at Rosh Hashana?

If you’ve got a story to share, please send me a DM and I’ll get back to you with some specific questions.

Thanks!
