Soon, I will be flying from the East Coast of the US to the West Coast. My flight is ridiculously early, and we’ll be on the plane and in the air before misheyakir (Eastern time). However, I will arrive at my destination after the latest time for Shema but before the latest time for Shacharit (West Coast time).
I’m curious how I should move forward with praying that morning. Should I say the Shema while on the plane and then daven the full Shacharit with tallit and tefillin when I reach my destination? Have others run into a problem similar to this? How did you handle it?
