So someone in my life gifted me an ayin ha’ra a couple of years ago which I was really grateful for at the time, but this past year they have betrayed me and hurt me greatly in a way that I cannot forgive and that they refuse to apologize for or acknowledge. I don’t know if this affects the ayin ha’ra or not since it was given to me for protection by them. Should I take it off or is it still safe to wear? It’s a charm on a necklace and says שלום on the back. Also if I need to get rid of the charm should I get rid of the chain as well?
