Ethno religion?

This isn’t a troll post. How is judaism considered an ethnicity when there are European African and Asian jews. Judaism isnt an ethno religion. How can it be if there are jews of nearly every race from nearly every continent. It may have at one point been an ethno religion but if you use this term to describe things that aren’t an ethno religion it hurts legitimate ethno religions such as the yazidi.
