Does unkosher meat technically become kosher after it spoils?

I read somewhere online that the Talmud says that unkosher meat becomes kosher after it spoils to the point of being unfit for human consumption (I think the reasoning being that inedible things like rocks and stuff are automatically kosher). Is that true? If so, can I have a reference to the specific passage? I think it’s hilariously pedantic! Even if nobody in the Talmud says it, does the logic check out?
