Do people get punished for sins?

Hello everyone, I am battling some OCD over some bad things I did as a minor. I have fear that if I don’t keep certain Halacha, that my actions would surface. I was not raised religious and am only 19, living in a non religious home. I am wondering if anyone has ever done something sinful then noticed something bad happen.

Edit: I am not fully religious and do not intend to be. I only keep a few things and even then mostly don’t abide by it.

Edit 2: I have done illegal things as a teen.
