Did some Egyptians also smear lamb’s blood on their doorpost?

I was wondering if some Egyptians were ever warned about the plague on the firstborn and warned to smear lamb’s blood on their doorposts. I know that some Egyptians did fear G-d, and I’m finding it difficult to accept the fact that Hashem would kill the firstborn of the Egyptians who did not persecute the Jews – such as Pharoah’s daughter who was the one to have rescued Moses in the first place.

Are there any midrashim dealing with this issue?
