So I did a few months of business coaching with a pretty well-known group that also has a podcast. I ended up stopping after 10/7 because I was in a personal tailspin. Recently, I’ve been taking Kabbalah classes to reconnect with the esoteric parts of Judaism, and I’m realizing that these coaches are literally taking the exact same concepts—verbatim—and passing them off as their own original business ideas and traveling the country sharing it.
What really bothers me is that they’re taking teachings from our closed religion and not giving any credit to where these ideas come from. It feels like they’re profiting off something they don’t fully understand, without acknowledging its religious or cultural roots.
On top of that, the industry they’re coaching for is rampant w antisemitism, and they’ve made no mention of it.
It’s frustrating to see them not only ignore this issue but also use concepts from Judaism without any respect or acknowledgment.
Not sure what I want the outcome to be, just needed to vent.
