I’m President and Rosh Yeshiva at Hadar and chair in Jewish Law. A Wexner Graduate Fellow, I serve on the board of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the Ramaz School. Rabbi Micha’el Rosenberg and I authored Gender Equality and Prayer in Jewish Law (2017). Hadar is an educational institution that seeks to empower a generation of Jews to create and sustain vibrant, practicing, egalitarian communities of Torah, Avodah, and Hesed. In addition to building and deepening community, Hadar carves out an expansive space for discussions about our current moment and its relationship to the eternal values of Jewish law.
