A gentile is curious about semantics: Land Crabs- are they kosher?

We were just eating Mexican restaurant thanksgiving and randomly wondered why meat and dairy together isn’t kosher, fell down a rabbit hole and asked “Why not shellfish” and ran into “no sea creatures without fins and scales.” Okay. Word.

But what about land crabs? I feel like this one is an interesting argument because the “no fins or scales” feels like it’s really aiming for “don’t eat sea mammals, we can clearly see they have feelings” but that would include like walruses and seals that spend time on land, too, like land crabs.

What about frog legs or turtle soup, since they’re freshwater? (Ethics of either dish aside, is it kosher?)

I apologize for any and all ignorance, I am absolutely not trying to offend anyone I’m just an idiot that loves to understand everything.
