Why, despite Gaza's carnage, I still have hope for Israel and Palestine

I come from a country and a continent where thinking in nationalities and ethnicities has brought immeasurable pain, suffering and death. But conversely, doing the opposite – building on what unites rather what divides – has brought the longest period of peace and prosperity in history
