What is the purpose of a woman supporting her husband while learning?

Meaning, I get she is enabling him to learn so therefore she gets schar (BTW what’s the source to that?). But a person shouldn’t do something just to get schar so why should a lady agree to that? Is she being mekayim any mitzva?
