What do you say/do to avoid lashon hara?

Pretty self explanatory – do you have any standard phrases/tactics that you find help avoid conversations drifting off into dangerous territory?

I try to either change topics, say something vague like “Hm/I don’t really know/It’s not my place to judge” or straight up just say “I try not to talk about people when they’re not around “, but would like to know if you have any tried and true ways to get people from refraining from gossip around you.
