What do people think of Hades in Hercules?

Posting here as a non-Jew, hope it’s ok. I recently watched the 1997 animated movie Hercules and now that I’m watching it as an adult, I feel uncomfortable with the portrayal of Hades.

He seems to be quite stereotyped as Jewish but also of course cast as a villain and playing into what to me seem to be antisemitic tropes.

You could also say that Hercules’s trainer is also Jewish coded but on the face of it that doesn’t seem to be as problematic – from my semi-educated perspective.

Anyways – thoughts and insights are welcome!
