Hi, my wife grew up reform but is orthodox now. Her family is still reform and we visit their temple with them on occasion. I noticed that the trope, although similar, are different than what I grew up with (orthodox). It is strange but the shofar sounds are also different. The entire temple (bar/bat mizvahs) use the same tune so it’s not minhag.
I cannot think of a good reason why they would be different. Any ideas?
