I read part of a recent thread about Hasidic Jews buying up houses and land and other property in New Jersey. Some things were said about how this has happened all over New Jersey (linden, Lakewood, Howell, Toms River, etc) with many comments asking should we leave the town and how everywhere this has happened the new population has taken over school boards and zoning boards. There was also a link to a “this American life” show about how this happened in a town in new York and caused all kinds of problems in school budgets etc. my question is this, is it Chilul Hashem for these “takeovers” and the aftermath?
