What would you call the first and last cars of a train? In English: “engine” and “caboose.” (This doesn’t have to be mechanically accurate. It’s for children. Picture a cartoon-depiction of an old-timey steam engine.) The dictionaries and translate apps are giving me a variety of options, but I’d like to go with the vernacular usage. Thanks!
