Shabbot Shalom! (Hope I used that right) Bit of an odd question but I promise its from a good place. I am not jewish but I run a bike rental/shuttle service that is very popular among orthodox/hasidic jews.
We have a very hard time anticipating these folks arrival/timing and with Rosh Hashanah approaching I was hoping to see if there was any usual routines for travel/trips during the holiday.
Do folks travel for Rosh Hashanah? Do they travel during, before or after? What days of the week might I expect a rush of customers?
In prior experience these groups will arrive through the course of a week in droves, unprompted. This usually causes some frustration as we aren’t prepared for crowds of customers looking to rent bikes. I always take pride in making sure our business is safe and comfortable for all.
For me part of that involves making sure we are able to meet demands and have enough bikes stocked repaired and cleaned. This usually requires a weeks notice to schedule this work to be done.
I know this probably isnt the right subreddit but when dozens of people are arriving out of nowhere, we get flustered and frustrated. Thats when tempers start to flare and we end up turning people away or greatly upsetting others. I really want to try and change this.
If theres any information that you can share it would be really helpful. Even a “wrong subreddit stupid” is appreciated long as you send me in the right direction.
In other words, help a goyim out.
Peace and love!
