Question about the author’s Intent in Song of Songs

I’m a Christian, and although I am not ethnically Jewish, I deeply value and respect the Jewish tradition and the faith in God that we partially share.

Therefore, I ask this question with respect and curiosity about your point of view. I’ve been reading about the Song of Songs and have come across various opinions and comments in Hebrew Bibles, but most focus on how it should be interpreted today.

I’m curious about the perspective of this forum regarding the original intent of the author. Do you think the author was writing about the relationship between a man and a woman, or did the author have a spiritual purpose in mind from the very beginning?

I would greatly appreciate your insights and any sources or traditions you find relevant.
