Options for relocation with a modern orthodox community

My husband and I are in our early 30s and starting to explore where we might move next — we’re looking to leave NYC and find a warm, walkable community to start a family.

We’re hoping for a Modern Orthodox community that:

  • Has a mix of Israeli, Sephardi, and Ashkenazi backgrounds (Shuls with both Minyans are also okay)
  • Is walkable and has a more city-like feel (not super spread out or car-dependent)
  • Is open and welcoming to people at all levels of observance — inclusivity really matters to us
  • Has solid Jewish infrastructure (shuls, kosher food, schools, etc.)
  • Has a presence of young couples and families

We’re focusing mostly on NJ, CT, NY (outside NYC), Florida, and maybe South Carolina since they’re closer to family — but we’re definitely open to other places that feel like the right fit!

If you know of any communities, shuls, or neighborhoods that sound like this, we’d really appreciate the recs. Thanks so much!
