This is probably a silly question, but if I wanted to meet secular Jews in NYC… what’s a good way to do that?
I never had much involvement with my Jewishness growing up. We never went to temple, we sort of celebrated Hanukkah and high holidays with my mother’s family, but the only public religious involvement I had was two-three times a year with my father’s faith. If someone asks me about the Jewish faith I will probably not have the correct answer.
I sort of regret that now, especially given that I feel like I lost out on a good source of community.
Anyways, now I’ve moved to NYC and I feel like this might be a good place to try getting involved — not for dating or anything, just to build up a community with an identity I can connect with as friends. I’m in my late 20s if that’s useful to know. I appreciate it 🙂
